Preston took the lead with a Matt Dudley penalty with the Shrimps equalising two minutes later. In the second half Morecame took the lead but it was Doyle Middleton who levelled the score at 2-2. The fifth goal of the match 18 minutes from time gave the visitors a 3-2 victory.
PNE now droped three places to 11th postion with three points from three games. Blackpool lead the table with nine points closely followed by Port Vale and Shrewsbury with seven points.
