Franck Songo'o was a Paul Simpson signing in March 2007. Songo'o arrived on loan from Portsmouth where he was held in high regard and is deemed one for the future. The Cameroon born winger has recently enjoyed a spell on loan to Sheffield Wednesday.

Miller had established himself as a goal scoring midfielder having enjoyed successful spells with Ipwsich Town. Miller made 7 appearances for Preston in 2006 with his best being against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light when Preston won 1-0. Miller is now back at Portman Road who narrowly missed out on the play-offs last season.
David Jones was signed by Billy Davies on a 6 month loan deal in 2005 from Manchester United. Jones was given the number 6 shirt at Deepdale and became a hit with the fans instantly. Jones racked up 24 appearances for Preston and scored 3 goals. Following his stint at Preston, Jones went out on loan to NEC Nijmegan in Holland before being reunited with his former Preston boss, Billy Davies when he took over at Derby County.
Omar Daley. After having a spell with Reading, Daley joined on loan to join up with fellow Jamaicans Ricardo Fuller and Claude Davis and featured 17 times for the Lilywhites, albeit only making one start. His only goal in a Preston shirt came in the 4-0 demolition of Mansfield in the League Cup. Since his loan spell at Deepdale in 04-05, Daley went back to Jamaica before joining League Two outfit Bradford City.
Yoann Folly joined Preston on loan in March 2005 from Southampton. The French midfielder only made two substitute appearances in his short spell at Deepdale before returning to the south coast. In the 1-1 draw with Gillingham on 2nd April 2005, Folly replaced Chris Sedgwick after 70 minutes to make his debut before replacing Brian O'Neill after 84 minutes in the 3-0 win over Brighton.
