Alan Wiley Referees Second Leg Tie

Alan Wiley officiated in the West Midlands Regional League between 1981 and 1991 before becoming a Football League assistant referee. In 1994, he was promoted to the FA Premier League List of assistant referees, and a year later progressed to the Football League referees' List.

Wiley made the step up to full Premier League referee in 1999, taking charge of his first match on 11August 1999 as Leeds beat Southampton 3-0 at the Dell.

In 2000, he was the fourth official at the FA Cup final as Chelsea beat Aston Villa 1-0 before taking charge of the 2002 FA Community Shield as Arsenal beat Liverpool 1-0.

The 2005/06 season saw Wiley take charge of the Carling Cup Final as Manchester United beat Wigan 4-0 and the FA Cup Final with Liverpool beating West Ham on penalties after a 3-3 draw.

On 24 May 2008, Wiley took charge of the Championship Playoff Final between Hull and Bristol City, a match which Hull won.

This season he has produced 113 yellow cards and 4 red cards in 38 matches. He refereed one game with PNE this season at QPR. He has also taken charge of the Yorkshire derby between the Blades and Doncaster, which the Dons won 1-0.

His assistants for the second leg are Shaun Procter-Green from Lincolnshire and Stephen Child from Kent. The fourth official is Russell Booth of Nottinghamshire who took charge of the 2-1 defeat at Crystal Palace in March 2009.
