Oliver Langford started refereeing in 1995 at age of 15 in the Midlands progressing through the Midland Combination and Midland Football Association leagues. He was part of the team that refereed in the Dallas Cup 2008, after three seasons as an assistant he was promoted to the National List at the start of the 2008/09 season. His debut being a 3-1 home win for Rochdale against Barnet on 16 August 2008
His last Oldham match was a 3-0 home win over Hartlepool on 19 March 2013.
The last time he took charge of a PNE match saw North End played much of the game with 10 men after Craig Morgan was sent-off with just over two minutes gone for pulling back Andy Williams as he went through on goal. Yeovil were reduced to 10 men themselves in the 89th minute when current PNE defender Paul Huntington was shown a straight red card for a two-footed lunge at Andy Proctor.
His last match saw Rotherham win 1-0 at Brentford on 5 October 2013 and saw the Millers receive 6 of the 7 yellow cards produced on the day.
