Scott Duncan is in his first season as a Football League referee following being in the Blue Square Premier.
His league debut was a 3-0 home win for Port Vale against Barnet. He has been a referee in the Scottish League Division Three in a number of matches and has produced 4 of his 7 red cards North of the Border. In total he has officiated in 26 matches, producing 69 yellow and 7 red cards
His last match was his first in the Championship as Huddersfield lost 4-0 at Watford.
This will be his first Lilywhite match but was the referee in Shrewsbury’s 2-2 draw at Bury on 21 December.
His assistants are Mark Dwryer from West Yorkshire and Keith Lawson from South Humberside. The fourth official is Glen Hark from County Durham.
