Graham Horwood began his Football League Refereeing career in 2007, making his debut in a 1-1 draw between Bradford and Macclesfield on 12 August 2007.
He had a two year gap from the Football League to return to Conference refereeing for the 2011/12 & 2012/13 campaigns.
His last match for Gillingham was a 2-1 home win over Stockport on 9 October 2010. This will be his first Lilywhite match.
His last match as a 4-1 win for Hartlepool at Mansfield on 5 October 2013.
