Michael Naylor took charge of the Blue Square Play Off Final between Oxford and York on 16 May 2010.
The following season he was promoted to the Football League and made his debut on 14 August 2010 as Torquay won 2-0 at Lincoln.
He was selected to referee The FA Vase Final at Wembley on Saturday 4 May, where Spennymoor Town beat Tunbridge Wells 2-1
His last match was on 28 August 2013 as Stoke beat Walsall 3-1 in the Capital One Cup. His previous Latics match was a 2-1 home defeat against Carlisle on 6 April 2013.
