Dean Whitestone started in senior football in 1993 in Northampton and came through the UnitedCounties and Southern Leagues to reach the National List of Assistant Referees in 2001. He was promoted to the Referees’ List during the 2005/06 season, making his league debut on 22 October 1995 in a 0-0 draw between NottsCounty and Carlisle. He also refereed the Conference Play Off Final in 2006 when Hereford beat Halifax 3-2.
