Carl Boyeson of East Yorkshire is the referee for Swansea's first visit to Deepdale since March 1993.
This season he has refereed five matches the last of these was on Saturday for the League Two tie between Notts Co and Aldershot. He has produced five yellow and no red cards so far.
This will be a step up the league ladder for Boyeson as he has refereed at League One and Two level over the past couple of seasons. Although he did referee this seasons Carling Cup match between Forest and Morecambe
Last season he produed 63 yellows and five red cards. Swansea fans will recognise him as he sent off Doncaster's Stephen Roberts in the tie at the Keepmoat Stadium in Doncaster.
He will be assisted by Ken Haycock and Andrew Smith both of West Yorkshire, whilst the fourth official is Andrew Scregg from Merseyside.
