Wooly Owl returns

Postman Andy Woolmer first started refereeing at age sixteen and is another Northamptonshire referee who followed the UCL and Southern League route to the National List.

 

Ten years as an assistant referee, the last three of them in the Premier League, brought trips to the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff for the 2003 League and FA Cup finals.. Since 2004 he has been on the National List referee since 2004.

 

His first league match as a referee was a goalless draw between Kidderminster and Notts.County on 18 August 2004. His first Championship match was the Lilywhites 2-1 victory at Crewe on 3 January 2005.

 

His previous Owls match was a 1-1 home draw to Fulham on 14 March 2015.  His last match was a 2-0 Rotherham win at Birmingham on 26 September. He has just produced one red card in his last 47 matches.
