Francis O’Rawe was born in Uphall, Scotland on 20 December 1900.
The centre-half started his career with Bathgate in 1922, before joining First Division Preston for the 1923/24 season. His league debut came in a 4-0 defeat at Sheffield United on 13 October 1923, a week later we played in the 1-1 draw at Cardiff.
