North End are flying high having lost only one league game since the jumping of ship of practically all of the backroom staff. Preston's only defeat came at Norwich and they will be looking for their third win in a row.
The big questin will be if Nugent who was suspended for Tuesday's victory against WBA will come back into the starting line up. Ex Derby boy Brian O'Neill is set to be close to a call up after returning to fitness but it looks like Neil Mellor will still be rested.
Preston have shown more attacking intent than the past previous seasons after Davies adopted the pressing but no shooting outside of the box tactics. Preston will look to attack Derby an dtry to come away with some kind of result to continue the good start to the season.
