Brendan Malone is now in his sixth season as a referee but is will be his first match in charge of PNE.
His first match was on 7 August 2010 with a 1-0 win for Hereford at Crewe. On the day Janos Kovacs scored the only goal of the game to give then manager and former PNE player Simon Davey a dream start to his time with the Bulls.
His last Cardiff match was a 1-0 win at home to AFC Wimbledon on 11 August 2015. His last match was a 1-0 win for Hull at Ipswich on 23 February.
