At least two other teams ahead of Preston must slip up so in fairness our destiny is out of our own hands but fail to win and Preston will definitely be in the championship next season.
Birmingham need a win for the title although they are already secure in the knowledge that they will be playing in the top flight next season. The two sides were in the top two when they met in December with a Mcsheffrey hat-trick defeating the Whites.
Preston are without Neil Mellor which is probably no greta loss as after he was bought by Paul Simspon last August he has rarely featured in the 16.
Nugent should start in what many expect to be his last game for Preston alongside Ormerod. Preston have to go for a win so the wing positions will be important with Pugh, Neal, Songo'o, Whaley and Sedgewick all fighting for a place.
The midfield will probably pick itself with Soley and Davidson. Matty Hill voted the club's player of the season will start at left back with captain Alexander at right back.
St Ledger and Chilvers are likely to start at the back with Henderson in goal. St Ledger will have to be wary after being ripped apart by Mcsheffrey at St. Andrew's earlier in the season.
Pretson will hav eto be tight at the back which they have not been for a couple of months now whilst going all out for the victory. It will be a big test just to get a result tomorrow let alone a victory to finish off what has been a disastrous end to the season.
