Both teams fortunes have waivered since the May play-off meeting with both sides appointing new manager's but for different reasons. Leeds having aterrible strat to the season released Kevin Blackwell who was only replaced last week by Dennis Wise.
Leeds have had an awful start to the season but beat Southen at the weekend at Elland Road with Wise trying to add grit and determination to what appears to be a set of under achieving players.
Preston will have to be wary just like at Turf Moor as the visitors will be up for this match to prove a point to the beleagured fans as well as the new manager. All the old faces are set to be in and around the squad.
Preston have been excellent at home this season which has propellefd them to second in the table. In fact over the last twelve months they remain unbeaten at home in the league with only Leeds (play offs) and Middlesborough (FA Cup) coming away with a victory.
Preston will welcome back striker Nugent who was suspended for the Burnley clash and Simpson will have a choice of three from Dichio, Agemang or Ormerod to start alongside the youngster. Ormerod was champing at the bit to play on Friday scoring his first league goal and will be looking for the same against the club which he broke his leg last season.
Barring any last minute injury worries the rest of the squad will remain the same but simpson and the boys should be wary that Leeds will make life very difficult at Deepdale on Tuesday evening.
