PNE V Milwall Match Preview

Last updated : 08 September 2005 By Andrea Barnes

This week couldn’t have gone any slower for the Whites, having an international week break after comfortably beating promotion promises Ipswich 4-0 at Portman Road.

And on top of that, it will prove to be an intimidating ride at the Lion’s Den for two reasons: Milwall have picked up only an embarrassing point from 6 games and their humiliation will be all around after their case for racist chants last season against Liverpool has been upheld. Not a good time to be associated with Milwall F.C!

This would be the right time to go and frustrate the home team, and get their fans on their backs. But after their performance against the Tractor Boys, I can’t see this happening!

North End’s performance capped the best passing we’ve seen off them this season. And after getting flak off the fans for changing the tactics too much, Billy must be commended for shuffling round the team, as it worked wonders!

Fluent passing from the new midfield of McKenna and new boy Jones brought few but quality assists. And the strikers must be noted for their clinical strikes, after their only 4 major chances went in the net.

Footy Mad Prediction: A 1-0 win for the Whites, with McKenna scoring!
