South African striker George Koumantarakis could be off before the end of the season, after club officials, and the player himself, claim a foreign club were watching him at Rotherham.
He had scouts looking at him from German team FC Cologne at the start of the season, but this time it is NOT this team who looked at him at Milmoor. Big George confessed: “I can’t say which club it is because at the moment it’s just speculation.
“It is a club from abroad. All I can say at the moment is that there is only one country that have their transfer window still open”.
PNE have made it obvious that they have no real intentions to keep the big striker, only making 16 appearances at the club.
Big George said about PNE: “North End have an option to keep me for another year, but they haven’t mentioned anything to me yet.
“I have to consider what I am going to do. Rather than being jobless at the end of the season, I’d rather be at another club.”
