"The result was desperately disappointing. We have only ourselves to blame for not creating chances when we have had as much of the ball as we did.

"I would not say Fuller's move flattened the place. Going down to 10 men gives teams a persecution complex. They get energy and enthusiasm, but I felt that if we had put the penalty away the complexion of the game would have changed.
"The guys could not be faulted for the effort they put in. You could fault them for careless mistakes, sloppy passing and slack distribution, but that's not deliberate".
