Josh Brownhill has been on the fringes of the squad this season and has not really kicked on after impressing a couple of seasons ago in League One. He has fallen down the pecking order at Deepdale.
It is expected that Brownhill will make a loan move with Barnsley amongst the frontrunners to land the youngster's signature.
