Preston were looking to strengthen theri midfield in any event after it was an area for concern durin the run in to the end of last season. North End now look to be set on losing Mckenna but the move will only be announced once Preston have found at least one replacement.
Lee Williamson was thought to be the ideal man after spending a month on loan at Deepdale but Sheff Utd appear to have attracted his signature beating both North End and Derby. Danns of Palace is also another target as well as Da Silva.
