Deepdale To Host European Game?

The City of Manchester Stadium pitch has been worn and torn over the past season with the UEFA Cup Final taking place their just recently. It has been advised that the pitch needs rest and recuperation before the start of the new season.

City have entered into the UEFA Cup and their home leg in the first qualifying round will have to take place at another venue. Both Deepdale and Huddersfield's ground have been identified as a potential solution. Preston are looking to play only one home match in pre-season most likely the week before the season starts against Everton.

The ground will be free all Summer with a pitch and stadium that is expected to be ready and waiting.
