Bradford were searching for a new striker after they recently sold Charlie Wyke. Doyle was linked last week with a move to Bradford after similar moves had fallen through during the summer.
North End had agreed fees with Peterbrough and Aberdenn believed to be in the region of £300,000 but the player could not agree personal terms. It now appears that Bradford offered something amenable to Doyle who signed a two year deal.
The fee was undisclosed but my suspicion is that it won't be too far off the earlier agreed sums. This now frees up a space on the wage bill as Preston look to strengthen before the deadline.
