The Football League todya announced that next season's fixture list will be released at 10am on Monday 16 June which is little over a month from now. After the conclusion of the Premier League today Preston will face Derby, Birmingham and Reading with all three being familiar to North End over the past few years.
Preston will also have a trip to Swansea which they have not faced in the league for a while whilst we welcome the return of Nottingham Forest. Southend and Doncaster battled out a goalless draw on Friday whilst Carlisle play Leeds tomorrow and one of these four clubs will be playing Preston next season.
Preston along with Burnley are the longstanding team of the Championship, both having now completed eight seasons at this level with neither finding promotion or being relegated.
Preston have confirmed that they will play Bamber Bridge on 16 July whilst simultaneously playing at Chorley. Both games are away and start the pre-season fixtures in this country after the squad is set to be whisked away for a training camp with games in Austria.
