North End travelled to Coventry (well Northampton) where they picked up their fourth draw of the league campaign in a row although this had no similarity to any of teh previous three games.
The game ended four apiece with Grayson more than a little unhappy at the way his side defended throughout the match stating that his side were lucky to come away with a point.
Tom Clarke started the scoring early on in the game before ex-loan player Leon Clarke equalised for Coventry. The home side then ran much of the game and through the match hit the woodwork on several ocassions.
Preston re-took the lead against the run of play with a wonderful Bailey Wright side before they were pegged back again by Coventry. The home side then took the lead and looked like taking all three points.
With minutes left, substitute Byrom, notched his first of the season to level the scores before Humprhey put Preston in the lead in stoppage time. Some woeful defending allowed Coventry to go straight back up the field and snatch a point.
Before the game Preston would have been happy with Coventry who have set off like a train despite theri points deduction. After the game Grayson was more than upset with his sides defensive display.
