North End faced their second game in three days against Premier League opposition. It was a chance for Alex Neil to give his full squad a workout over the two games and after Saturday's draw Preston continued to show they are capable of scoring against top level opposition.
Harrop opened the scoring with a beuatiful finish in the first half but an equaliser came before the break through Aaron Lennon. Agyei put Burnley in front but Robinson equalised almost instantly before the visitors got a late winner through McNeil.
The overriding theme is that Preston are capable of scoring against most times and have kept up the momentum if not improved on this aspect of their game last season.
The worrying part was always keeping goals out with the free flowing play. Against many Championship sides Preston simply out attacked the opposition but against the better sides, on occasions, the defence was found wanting and this will have to be addressed for Preston to move up the table this season.
