Early morning reports suggested that Crystal Palace were ahead of Leeds and Bristol City in a move to sign Jordan Hugill for a reported fee of around £10 million.
Preston issued a formal statement that despite reports no agreement had been reached with any club for the sale of Jordan Hugill. This is not to say onewill be agreed over the next day or so before the deadline expires.
North End turned down Hugill's transfer request in August when Reading made an £8 million bid for the striker. Hugill is a low earner at Deepdale and is contracted to tthe club beyond the summer so wanted to move to treble his wages.
There has been a recent recruitment of forward players and therefore Neil might be more wlling to release Hugill and invest the funds in summer transfer targets.
