The speculation over Hugill started in January when Ipswich had two bids rejected. Birmingham have also had a couple of bids rejected recently and appear to have lost interest.
All bids were short of any valuation Preston have of the player and the club appear to want to keep hold of the player in what is fast becoming an inflated market.
Leeds and Huddersfield appear to be the latest clubs linked with the striker. Online sources appear to suggest that Huddersfield are lining up a bid in the region of £4 million for the striker. Leeds are also looking for a new striker with Chris Wood likely to join Burnley for a fee in the region of £12 million.
Preston will likely resist any attempts to lure the striker away but clearly if a significant offer is made then the club would be foolish not to consider taking the money.
