The Jamaican was signed as a winger by Grayson to add pace and width to a League One side that needed some creativity to feed a frontline which was more than capable of scoring goals.
Whilst Humphrey was signed as a winger it soon became apparent that he would be used in a more defensive role as a wing back as Grayson switched to a back three.
Perhaps we never did see the best of Chris Humphreyin an attacking light. He did have pace but his crossing was often short of the mark. He was aways willing to sacrifie himself for the team and defensively aided the team in the promotio season.
His best game perhaps came away at Bradford on Easter Monday when he scored a screamer from outside the box in a 3-0 win. He also had other highlights.
The last 18 months have been tough with injuries and this term he has been unable to fight his way back into the squad with Pringly, McGeady and Gallagher ahead of him.
