Davidson started for Scotland facing his club mate and Macedonian international, Schumi. Unforturnately, Davidson who appears to have not been through a whole season without getting injured went off with a hanstring injury. The extent of the injury is unknown but the left back has returned to Preston and will not take part against Holland this Wednesday. Davidson was suspended for Pretson's next match in any event.

Schumi played the full 90 minutes for Macedonia and seems to have come through unscathed. St Ledger also completed the full game for Republic of Ireland who won away at Cyprus. Eddie Nolan, likely to replace Davidson at left back for Preston next weekend had to be content with a place on the bench for Republic of Ireland.
