The row over Preston's play off semi final defeat is yet to die down after it was revealed that two investigations are to take place regarding the raucous fixture.
Firstly it wa sannounced the FA are investigating the match itself as a matter of procedure. It is standard that the FA investigate any match where a club has received ten or more yellow cards. it was stated that they would be looking at the game an din particular the referee's report to see if any disciplinary action would be taken against Leeds. It was also announced that the two sending off's could not be appealed due to them both being double yellow's.
It was also revealed that damage was done to the away team dressing room either during the game or in the post match celebrations. Sinks and toilets were damange as well as obsecinties written in black marker pen across the wall and posters of an indecent nature were left. It was revealed that only players and staff have access to the away dressing room and questions were asked of the Yorkshire club regarding the damage. Leeds manager kevin Blackwell denied the allegations but since Leeds have launched an internal investigation into the affair asking for the assistance of North End to provide evidence of the damage caused.
In a seperate incident on Monday night it was revealed that 231 seats were ripped out of the area where the Leeds stands were sitting.
Preston are set to apply for planning permission for the fourth stand to be built and are hopeful work can start soon. It appears that the fans wish the stand to be named after the famous Invincibles and would like this represented in some form on the stand like the other three sides.
