Irvine Wants To Keep Hold

The latest player linked with a move away from Deepdale is keeper Andy Lonergan. The stop has come up through the ranks at Deepdale and it is believed that Ipswich have had a bid of over £1 million thrown out by Deepdale.

Lonergan was a key member of Irvine's side last season with the other main rivals out injured. Henderson appears still not to have recovered from a back injury and Preston ares till short in that department so it would be suicidal to sell Lonergan at this stage.
