Jackson has cited other committments as his reasons for leaving the board of directors. He became involved with the club as his company NewReg.com became a shirt sponsor for the club. Almost instantly he formed a partnership with Derek Shaw under an entity called Friends of PNE. The two purchased 35% of the shares of the club after Baxi withdrew.
In effect this leaves the club in a bit of a quandry as Steve Jackson technically owns 17.5% of the football club yet as a partnership as the major shareholder of the club it seems he no longer has the clubs best interests at heart. The question is if Jackson wishes to hold onto his share which would mean he is just an ordinary fan with a large amount of shares of whether he wishes to cash in and sell his shares. If he decides to sell then the face of the Deepdale board will almost certainly change.
