Keeper Not Ready For Upton Park Clash

Ward has returned to training sooner than expected following his injury in the game against Ipswich last month, in which he was knocked unconscious.

However, despite the keepers remarkably quick recovery manager Billy Davies has ruled out Ward returning for the game at Upton park this weekend.

"I don't think he is quite ready for that yet," Davies told the clubs official website, pne.com

"He has had a good week's training but that is about it, there is still more work to be done. We have got to back to the specialist again and make sure that everything is ok."
