The North End boss has revealed that he has approached every Premier League side about a possible loan deal for one of their keepers but so far his efforts have fallen on deaf ears.
North End have been dealt a big blow in the goalkeeping department following last weeks news that number one Andy Lonergan will be sidelined for at least six months with knee ligament damage and deputy Gavin Ward out for at least a fortnight following his facial injury against Ipswich on Friday night.
Chris Neale will play against Forest should Davies not manage to bring in a more experienced keeper in time for Wednesday nights clash at The City Ground.
