PNE boss Brown insisted that his team have got to start bringing in the killer instinct when in front against teams, or wave goodbye to promotion.
It is the seventh time that the Whites have been deservedly in front to lose it near the end of the game and lose two vital points.
Brown frustratingly said after the Palace game: “It annoys me that we don’t seem to have the killer touch that’s required.”
Healy put the Whites in front on 51 minutes, a goal that they deserved after numerous chances on goal in the first half. But Andy Johnson equalised for the eagles on 84 minutes and PNE came away with only a point.
Brown said about the final result: “I suppose overall a draw was a fair result in the end. It could have gone either way with chances falling to both teams.
“It’s disappointing when you are ahead not to win the game.
“Coming down to London you would say that a point would be acceptable. But when you have the lead in the game, and look comfortable in the lead, it is upsetting not to get all the three points.”
