The striker was on loan at Charlton last season and apparently has been told by his parent club, Palermo, that he can go out on loan again for the 2016/7 season.
Preston were the favourites to sign the striker with the LEP reporting that a deal for a season long loan had almost been completed although there has been no official word from the club.
Online reports have suggested that Championship rivals Leeds have also expressed an interest in taking the striker to Elland Road for the season. It is therefore unclear as to where the striker may end up.
