Nash who had a fall out with old boss Paul Simpson demanded a move away from Deepdale this time last year and ended up down the M6 at Wigan only to find himself out of contention behind Kirkland and Pollitt.
New boss Bruce has not seen Nash in action since the 34 year old broke a leg in training in October and the surgeoans have told the keeper he can rejoin training this week. Bruce has stated he will allow Nash to go on loan to regain fitness and get match practice. With Preston keeper Lonergan suffereing a crisis of confidence Alan Irvine may swoop for the tanned stopper for a return to Deepdale.
