Nicholson played and scored the winner in the reserves 2-1 mid-week win against Oldham. Nicholson has only played 14 minutes of first team action in over a year due to a broken leg which has kept him out.
The midfielder has made slow progress after a recurrence of the injury but is now confident that he is getting himself ready for first team action.
