Nicholson Suffers Suspected Broken Ribs

Alan Irvine is gradually running short of midfield men with Chaplow ruled out for what looks like the rest of the season and now Nicholson may see himself on the sidelines thanks to a suspected broken rib or two after injuring himself in the victory over Coventry.

That leaves captain Paul Mckenna and Darren Carter who has rarely featured this season to fill the midfield vacancies should Irvine fail to bring anyone in on loan before Saturday's visit to Charlton.

Some better news was that Liam Chilvers and Neal Trotman both played in the reserves last week who had a one nil victory over Morecambe. This may help ease the problem at the back with Andrew Davies injures going back to Stoke leaving Irvine whith only two recognised centre backs in Mawene and St Ledger.
