Preston already have 4 centre halves and Collin has basically joined in training over the past week to keep up fitness levels. Due to the transfer window being shut Preston are unable to sign anyone who is contracted to a club without special dispensation. Collin ios technically still tied to Gretna and the administrators would want a fee for the release of his services so North End would have to wrangle through the legal side of football even before Collin could kick a ball for the Whites.
Several other Gretna players are also looking for work after the club went into administration and wages were stopped being paid to the players.
