Preston manager Billy Davies has turned his attention to Bristol City once again and in particular the tall centre half Clayton Fortune who 12 months earlier turned down a move to Deepdale. As Davies looks to bolster his squad he sees the youngster as a good talent to join Hill and Anyinsah from the Bristol club.
Fortune turned down a move to Deepdale last Summer because of the distance of being away from his family but after being on loan at Port Vale the ex Spurs youth player has now decided it is time to leave for pastures new. Several other clubs are interested but North End's league position may well sway the leggy centre half.
