Nugent Expected Back In Training

After Sunderland pulled out of the race, Portsmouth were the only club to have had a bid accepted and Nugent has been discussing terms with the south coast club but as of yet nothing has been agreed.

Paul Simpson has tried contacting the youngster over the past 11 days but has had no response. Simpson is eager to find out if he will have the cash to splash before the transfer window ends from the possible deal or if Nugent will be returning to Preston. It is clear the club tried to contact the striker to offer more time off over the summer period but as all phone calls have been so far ignored it is apparent that Nugent is expected back with the rest of the squad tomorrow morning.
