After the frantic activity during the transfer window Preston ended up with seven loan players. Unfortunately, only five can feature on a matchday which was going to cause a headache.
It was implied earlier in the week that Preston would attempt to secure some of the loan players and make them into permanent additions to the squad.
Cunningham was out of contract in the summer with Cardiff. North End were reportedly paying half his wages so a deal was reached between the two clubs to make his loan into a permanent move. Likewise, terms were agreed between Fleetwood and Preston so Evans could covert his loan deal into a full time move.
The moves mean that both can feature in the matchday squad along with the remainign five loan players.
