After disappointingly failing yet again to grasp a win at Deepdale, the White's manager and the Hoops manager both were frustrated with the points they took from the game.
Paul Simpson said: "I think we definitely deserved at least a point out of it. We had a lot of possession. The biggest thing that let us down today was the final ball into the box.
"We were getting into areas and half-hearted balls were going in, where the goalkeeper was able to come and collect it.
"You can say we were saved in the nick of time. We gave away a goal sloppily, we didn't collect from the long ball and we didn't do our job with the set pieces.
He also admitted how disappointed he was on how his team conceded the goal, scored by former PNE hotshot Ainsworth.
He said: "We gave away a sloppy goal, it was horrid.
"We are going through a period of adjustment. We have to say we are going through an unlucky period. We deserved at least a point out of a game.
The Gaffer also confessed that the reason why promising Kevin Wilson got carried off during the game was a medial knee ligament injury. Referring to his injury blighted squad, he said:
"The lists endless of first team players who are injured for selection. Today I had 14 outfield players for this game plus one."
QPR manager said: "I'm a bit disappointed we didn't hold out for the 3 points."
"We should have been delighted with coming up here and getting a point, but we should have had three."
