Simon Grayson appears to be happy with the way pre-season has gone with North End losing only one game and that by a narrow margin to Liverpool early on in the programme.
The side featured a formation which could attack well but also defend as an alomst 4-5-1 formation when in defence against a more than capable Leicester side. Grayson stuck with a trio in midfield with two wide men to support the front man.
The visitors took the lead with a stunning strike from Moore who controlled the ball before turning and volleying into the back of the net. pre-season has certainly served up some great goals both for anad against the Whites.
Preston equalised afterthe break after Tom Clarke headed home a swirling free kick although it appeared that Leicester Keeper, Schmeicheal appeared to fuumble when going for the ball.
The game ended all square as both sides made changes in the second half. It seems like Grayson has a strong idea of his starting team for the first game and I suspect the formationt o fit that of the last two games.
The run throughout pre-season counts for little but hopefully the confidence can be used from the off to put early points on the board in a season where the bookies tip Preston to be amongst the front runners.
