After the hectic nature since project restart 12 months ago there is finally a pause in domestic football. Preston have a chance to press the reset button and are putting in place a pre-season which resembles some sort of normality.
Whilst there is no certainty over the level of attendance at games Preston have confirmed several matches ahead of the new season which will start in August.
North End will renew the annual fixture against Bamber Bridge. They will also travel to Scotland to take on St Johnstone and Celtic. Games in Scotland used to be a regular occurence in days gone by so it will be interesting to see how Preston fair.
There will also be local games against Bolton and Wigan both who are now in League One. It is likely that further games will be added to the schedule.
