Steve Thompson who previously assisted Grayson at Blackpool and has also worked at Huddersfield and Leeds has joined as first team coach replacing John Dreyer.
Dreyer left the club after spending three years with the Whites as he was brought in by Graham Westley at the time as first team coach. He took charge of one match when Preston beat Bournemouth after Westley was sacked.
