The back four remain unchanged with Fisher cointinuing at left back and Clarke on the right. Gallagher anchored the midfield along with Pearson whilst Johnson, Robinson and Barkhuizen were free to go forward.
The first half was disticntly average with neither team making an impression going forward. The only excitement came in the opening minute when Maxwell fluffed his kick but the visitors failed to react quick enough to convert the gift.
Preston came out stronger in the second half. Gallagher hit the bar from a free kick and there were chances for the home side. Robinson was on the ball a lot and he was integral to the goal.
Time ticked on when Robinson found himself on the left. He put in a perfetc cross over the heads of the defenders with the ball landing at the feet of Hugill who converted from close range.
The home side held on for the lead and all three points. Last season Preston would have settled for a goalless draw and Grayson would have pointed out the unbeaten run. This season is different and Neil knows that victories against play off chasing teams will determine whether Preston finish in the top six.
