Both teams sat just outside the play off places and that remained the case after a one all draw at Deepdale. It was a keenly contested affair with Swansea happy to estend gamesmanship to the limits by wasting time on the floor and going down at every opportunity.
Preston hadn't really had much of an opportunity in the game when Sinclair was given some room to cut in from the left. He showed why Neil signed him by curling in a peach of a shot from the edge of the box to give Preston the lead.
The score was soon level as Brewster managed to bundle in a shot off his knee from close range. There was a question mark over an offisde in the build up and it was a day the officials will want to forget.
There were some poor decsions all around from the match officials but that did not detract from the fact that North End could not break down a resilient Swansea team despite Preston having the better of the second period.
North End remain in seventh but are now three points off the play offs with games coming thick and fast over the next few weeks starting at Wigan on Saturday.
