The game which was earlier reported on this site to be happening at some point today took place at Springfields to allow new Burnley boss Eddie Howe to look at some players witht he same going for Phil Brown.
It is understood that Nathan Ellington was to play for the majority if not all of the game to gain some much needed fitness but it is unclear if any potential loan signings or trialists played in the Preston XI. The only official report has come from the main Burnley site.
